Microsoft Clarity provides Social Housing Organisations (SHOs) with a powerful, cost-free tool to improve user experience, monitor website performance, and address tenant needs more effectively. With features such as session recordings, heatmaps, and data-driven insights, Clarity enables SHOs to identify usability issues, optimise service delivery, and enhance accessibility of critical resources. However, while Clarity’s features are highly beneficial for basic user behaviour analysis, some limitations—such as a lack of advanced customisation options, deeper demographic insights, and integration capabilities—still exist. This report reviews the advantages of Clarity for SHOs and suggests areas where the tool could be further developed to maximise its utility.
